Upcoming Online Salons
BELIEVE
When was the last time a TV show changed you?
Made you want to be a kinder human?
For so many of us, Ted Lasso has done just that.
You don't have to be sporty or into soccer football to love it.
Somewhere between the biscuits, the locker room speeches and the hand-painted BELIEVE sign, the show reminded us of something we've been trying to remember our whole lives:
That curiosity changes everything.
Tenderness isn't weakness.
And becoming the person you long to be begins with one small, mustard sized seed of BELIEF…
So...
In honor of season 4 releasing this week, I'm hosting something a little different:
This isn't a film analysis, it's not a fan convention.
And honestly - you don't even need to have seen a single episode.
We'll gather over Zoom with tea, music, a few carefully chosen clips and writing prompts designed to help reconnect you to your own creative courage.
If there's one thing Ted is ELITE at - it's connection. He leads through silliness. Through play. Through courageous vulnerability. He puts people first. He's magnetic and loved for being his most outrageously authentic self.
Community is what this is all about.
We'll write about the people who believed in us.
The parts of ourselves we've judged instead of loved.
The dreams that deserve one more chance.
And the small, beautiful ways we can choose to believe before we have proof.
If you're already a Ted Lasso fan, I think you'll leave feeling like you've stepped into The Crown & Anchor in Richmond for an evening. I'll be your personal Mae for the evening ;) IYKYK. Scratch that - I'm Keeley. Or shoot. Rebecca. Oh gosh. I can't decide!
If you've never seen the show, you'll simply leave with a fuller notebook, and a softer heart.
Bring a journal.
Bring a friend.
Bring your wonderfully imperfect self.
I'll bring the digital biscuits.
Ted Lasso is friendship. Kindness. Mentorship. Crisp fall nights cheering for your favorite team.
Ted Lasso is vulnerability. Tears without restraint.
Ted Lasso is believe. No matter what.
It's courageous living. Courageous loving.
Ted Lasso is radical integrity, honesty and FUN.
POETRY HANGS OUT WHERE LIFE IS. Ted Lasso is poetry lived out loud.
Let's write our most truest true – together.
WHEN: Thursday, August 13th from 6-8 pm central
WHERE: Zoom
TICKET PRICE: $65
WHO: Literally everyone is welcome! Bring your friends, your boyfriends, your husbands, your dads – this is definitely a guy friendly class!
Chicago Writing Club | Evanston
Hey Chicago!
Let’s meet up IRL.
Once you sign up, I’ll send you the exact location where we’ll meet. But for now - just know it’s in Evanston!
We’ll gather in a beautiful place and drop into our bodies with a gentle meditation. We’ll take a walk and stop several times to engage in some writing and witnessing.
There is no need to call yourself a writer. This is about using the practice of writing to come more fully alive. To be present to the beauty of the world you’re living in.
Come as you are. Bring a friend. Expect to have a lot of fun, connect to community and leave with a desire to create more!
SUMMERTIME SADNESS
A poetry salon for the ever-longing hearts—set in golden hour, steeped in melancholy and the aftertaste of nostalgia.
Learn how to write somatic poetry — the kind that comes from your body…the kind born out of your own tissues, tears and marrow.
No more overthinking.
No more calculating.
No more trying to control.
No more trying to be good.
It’s time for deep, abandoned surrender to the velvet desires hidden within.
I’m creating a world for you to step into … inspired by the cinematic landscape of Lana Del Rey’s music, the July heat, the long lost lover, the sadness that somehow feels like an aphrodisiac when set against summer’s golden hour.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 22nd | 6:30-7:30 pm CST | Zoom
Miss Americana 3-Week Writing Immersion
3-week online writing immersion
a road trip back to yourself
There comes a moment
when you realize…
the life you’ve been living
was shaped by who you thought you had to be in order to be loved.
And something in you—
quiet at first, then undeniable—
starts asking:
What would it feel like to be free?
There’s a reason the open road has always called to us.
It brings us back to our instincts.
It softens the noise.
It shows us what we truly want—
not what we’ve been taught to want.
And in that space, something in us comes alive again.
No, we won’t driving cross-country — but through stories and imagination, you’ll meet parts of yourself that are only revealed when you’re willing to go somewhere new.
We’ll hit the road (start date):
Wednesday, May 6th

Because what’s a birthday party without gifts?!
TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
Inspired by Taylor’s album, this salon is devoted to the art of turning heartbreak, longing, chaos, and confession into poetry.
Together we’ll explore what it means to be a tortured poet — someone who feels deeply and dares to transform those feelings into art.
Even if you’ve never written poetry before.
During our time together we’ll:
• read a few iconic lines from the album
• reflect on the stories and emotions behind them
• write from rich, imaginative prompts
• share and witness one another’s words
Come dramatic.
Come heartbroken.
Come inspired.
All poets welcome.
WHAT TO BRING: a notebook and pen
Hamnet Writing Salon
For our final March gathering, we enter the world of Hamnet — the novel by Maggie O'Farrell and its film adaptation — a story of love, grief, and the quiet endurance of the natural world.
This story broke my heart and stitched it back together in the most beautiful, organic way. It returned me to the forest — to something elemental and deeply alive within myself.
I’ve been so moved by it that I feel called to gather around it, to write inside its themes of love, grief, and the natural world. And there is no more fitting time than March — our month of Spring Awakening — when the earth itself is softening and coming back to life.
At its heart, Hamnet is not simply about loss.
It is about love that continues.
It is rosemary and returning to the earth for answers.
It’s paving your own way in the world.
It is being loved for who you truly are — not who you were taught to be.
As the earth begins to soften this spring, we’ll write into:
The loves that shaped us
The grief we still carry
Our connection to the earth’s apothecary (a little herbal lesson!)
The longing to be loved as we are
** Please note that it is highly recommended to read the novel or watch the film - or in some way acquaint yourself with the story before the salon.
Midday Poetry Reading & Write-In
At The Poetry Apothecary, we know the value of putting ourselves in the way of beauty.
Join us for a midday poetry reading & write in.
We’ll begin with a gentle centering meditation, then read a selected poem together. From there, you’ll have space to reflect, write, and (if you’d like) share. We’ll close with a final reading of the poem and a closing meditation — sending you back into your day nourished and inspired.
The Spring Thaw: Skeleton Woman Writing Salon ONLINE
Sunday, March 8th | 1-2:30 pm CST | Zoom
Crack open your frozen parts. Invite warmth back into your heart.
Join us for an intimate feminine salon inspired by the powerful myth of The Skeleton Woman from Women Who Run With the Wolves — a story of thawing the frozen heart, reclaiming aliveness, and allowing warmth to return after seasons of loss, survival, or silence.
In this salon, we’ll explore how to write from the depths of you - the most instinctual place within — the part that longs to soften, to be seen and to return to life after a long winter.
Through grounding, reflective conversation, and guided writing, we’ll move into themes of emotional thawing, vulnerability, tenderness, and the wild courage it takes to stay present with our own truth.
Together, we’ll tend to the places within us that may have grown guarded or numb, while making space for what is ready to awaken, open, and breathe again.
Whether you are healing, creating, or simply longing for deeper connection with yourself, and your community, this salon offers a gentle pathway back to your inner authority, your creative vitality, and the warm, living pulse of your own heart.
Come as you are.
Leave feeling softer, lighter, creatively awakened, and more deeply connected to the wild, tender truth within you.
