September carries with it a threshold, a portal.
The light becomes a bit more golden.
The evenings arrive a little earlier.
The air, while still warm, begins to carry a message:
come closer.
The autumn equinox marks the threshold between seasons — a fleeting moment when day and night meet in equal measure before we begin our slow descent toward winter.
We are going to meet it together, around a fire.
With something warm in our hands and notebooks open on our laps.
AN EVENING FOR COMING BACK TO YOURSELF
Join Dana from The Poetry Apothecary and Marissa Rose, feminine embodiment coach, for an intimate autumn equinox bonfire devoted to creativity, embodiment, connection, and the ancient human practice of gathering around a fire to tell the truth.
You'll be guided through gentle embodiment practices to help you drop beneath the chatter of the mind and listen to what your body already knows.
Then we'll write from there.
The goal isn’t polished writing, or even good writing…
The goal is alive writing.
The kind that surprises you.
AUTUMN AS OUR MEDICINE
Trees don’t apologize for changing, they don’t grip onto the leaves that have already lived their season, they so naturally release, let go.
Through storytelling, somatic practices, conversation, and Poetry Apothecary style writing prompts, we'll explore the beautiful threshold between holding and releasing, light and darkness, who we've been and who we're becoming.

THE EVENING
Just before 6 pm, we will gather around the bonfire, with a mug of warm cacao, as dusk settles in.
From there, Dana and Marissa will guide the evening together — weaving feminine embodiment, seasonal storytelling, somatic writing, poetry, and conversation into one unfolding experience.
There will be time to:
🍂 drop into your body and quiet the noise
✍️ write from sensation, memory, intuition, and desire
🔥 gather around the fire and share stories
☕ sip cacao beneath the autumn sky
🤎 connect with other women beyond small talk
🌾 take stock of what this season of your life has grown
🍁 name what you're ready to release
COME AS YOU ARE
You don’t need to consider yourself a writer, you don’t need experience with embodiment work — you don’t even need to know anything about the equinox or ritual or cacao.
Just come as you are, with a curious, soft heart.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring a notebook, something to write with, and layers for a crisp autumn evening, perhaps a blanket.
Cacao, firelight, and everything else will be waiting for you.
